Offshore Wind China Conference & Exhibition Press Releas
发布时间:2019-01-26 编辑:AG集&#

SHANGHAI, March 25 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The past ten years has seen the global offshore 大发官方娱乐wind technology developing more maturely. Meanwhile, China, in its early stage, enjoys a large growing room for this market. China's National Energy Administration has stressed in its overall plans for the energy market in 2010 that China must continue to promote the construction of large-scale wind power bases, especially those of offshore wind power. On January 22, 2010, China issued the "Temporary Guidance for the Construction and Management of Offshore Wind Bases," which marks the administration beginning to strengthen the management of the offshore wind market and the simultaneous launch of the first special privilege biddings for offshore wind projects.

Quite a few of China's in-plan and under construction offshore wind farms have been located in Zhanjiang and Nan'ao of Guangdong, Ningde of Fujian, Daishan of Zhejiang, Cixi of Zhejiang, Linhai of Zhejiang, and Chongdao of Shandong. Among these projects, Zhejiang and Jiangsu are the two key provinces for offshore wind. In Jiangsu province, the world's largest single-stage offshore wind farm, the Dongtai 200MW special privilege offshore project, has been launched, followed by further ambitious plans in Dafeng, Rudong, Xiangshui, Binghai, Sheyang, and Nantong, among other places. According to the research done on the Jiangsu offshore wind development plan, there is 18000 MW of exportable offshore wind power in Jiangsu Province. It is estimated that Jiangsu province will establish 7000 MW in inter-tidal and offshore wind farms by 2020. Meanwhile, in Zhejiang province, the initial plan is to establish 100 MW in offshore wind farms by 2012, 1050 MW by 2015, and 2700 MW by 2020.

With the aim of promoting the sound development of China's offshore wind industry, the Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association (CREIA), the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and the Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd (SIEC), a subsidiary of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shanghai Sub-council, once again join forces to build Asia's first professional platform focused on the offshore wind power market -- the "Offshore Wind China 2010" -- which will be held from June 7-9, 2010 in Shanghai. The conference is expected to attract at least 600 conference delegates and the exhibition space is to reach 10,000 sq.m.

Highlights of Offshore Wind China:

Go with China's first offshore wind farm. Focus on the offshore wind industry chain.

Offshore Wind China is the first conference and exhibition focused on "offshore" wind and its supply chain in China and even Asia. Although there are other comprehensive wind power events in China with a session on offshore wind, what makes this conference unique is that it explores the offshore industry deeply, and covers a much wider range.

Almost all the leading enterprises engaged in offshore wind power in China and abroad, such as Vestas, Sinovel Wind, Shanghai Electric, CSIC, Aantis and Guodian United Power, have confirmed their appearance at this exhibition. During the event, they will hold press conferences, organize receptions for key customers, as well as generously and comprehensively present their latest technologies and products at the exhibition site. Recently, the organizers learned that Vestas's senior leadership will personally lead a delegation to participate in this event, while Sinovel Wind's Chairman, Han Junliang, has also given it high priority and will be organizing many different kinds of events in conjunction with the exhibition. At the same time, complete machine manufacturers will also jointly build an offshore wind power industry chain with their original equipment suppliers. Locations of major wind power industrial parks in China, such as Tianjin and Jiangsu, will be organizing groups of small- and medium-sized component enterprises to actively participate in this event.

The topics to be addressed at the conference include the dialogue between China's six Provincial Development and Reform Commissions and wind farm developers, case studies and site visits to China's first offshore demonstration project, the Donghai Bridge Offshore Wind Farm. Besides these, there will be three parallel meetings with different sessions on wind turbine design, farm construction, blade design, gear & blear, anti-corrosion, wind resource assessment, testing & certificates, maintenance and operation, offshore grids, and finance and education.

Strong support from governments

Offshore Wind China has won great support from many governmental organizations both in China and aboard. At the national level, there are the National Energy Administration and the Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association. At the local and provincial level, there are the Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Informatization Commission, and four Development and Reform Commissions of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Fujian. Meanwhile at the international level, there are the Global Wind Energy Council, the Royal Norwegian Consulate General Guangzhou, the Denmark Export Association, and the American Wind Association, among others. All the above organizations' high-rank officials will be present during this event.

High level of international participation

In terms of exhibition, the developed offshore wind countries and regions have attached great importance to Offshore Wind China. There will be national pavilions of Norway and Denmark.

In terms of conference, the invited speakers by now have exceeded 100, which is twice as last year, and the overseas percentage goes beyond 40% who are from Denmark, Norway,UK, America, Germany, Austria, Japan, Belgium, Canada, etc.

Ideal combination of exhibition and conference

Offshore wind is a sector with great vision and high technology. Currently, some enterprises have been involved in this field, and others have been paying close attention to it, trying to find the best time to enter. Therefore, the conjunction of exhibition and conference will be a good platform where key wind turbine manufacturers and their suppliers will gather to meet, and more new-comers can learn about the market. This is an ideal opportunity for enterprises either engaged in or interested in the market to find a good entry point.

Same time as the World Expo 2010

The event will be held at the same time as the World Expo 2010 which allows the conference to welcome visitors from China and aboard. There will be San Marino Day on June 4, Kazakhstan Day on June 5, Portuguese Day on June 6, Australia Day on June 8, Philippine Day on June 9, and Japan Day on June 12.

Importantly, in the spring of 2010 there will be two important events on the wind power agenda linking China and Norway as potential future partners in developing offshore wind parks. Mr. Tormod Enders, the consul general of the Royal Norwegian Consulate General Guangzhou, said, "I appreciate very much China's resolution to vigorously develop new energy. I hope this will help to promote the exploration of the offshore wind market." The first of these events is a seminar in Bergen, Norway March 15-16, and the second is Offshore Wind China in June. As the overseas co-organizer of the event, the Royal Norwegian Consulate General Guangzhou and Innovation Norway will invite speakers to deliver speeches at the conference to introduce its rich experience in offshore wind, and meanwhile they will set up a national pavilion to present cutting-edge products and innovations.

The organizers are committed to offering considerate, convenient and comfortable services to each participant based on rich event organization experiences and successful records in the past two years.

Finally, the event organizers would like to express sincere gratitude to the participation of all offshore wind leading companies and main suppliers. Special thanks also go to the governments and industry organizations who have given the event great support. We are looking forward to seeing you at Offshore Wind China 2010.
